Game Day 3.25

What a cold day for soccer! I think it was in the low 40's at game time. I should have brought hot chocholate instead of lemonade. It should finally start to warm up next week so hopefully this will be the last cold Saturday we'll have for a while.

Nevertheless, we did well in our game today. Our goal was to hold on defense for the first quarter, then turn up the heat on our offense. Katie, Victoria and Megan did a spendid job on defense while Jackie, Leah and Kayla played great on offense the first half. Alli and Alicia came off the bench and provided a real spark for the team. Alli scored her first goal of the year with some great footwork. Katie had a brilliant second half at goal keeper.

We had to pull players out of the game once we got ahead by more than 4 goals. For each goal over 4 you have to pull out 1 player. At one time we were down to 2 players plus a goalkeeper. The final score was 8-4.

We missed Tarason and Madeline this week. Victoria will be out next week so we'll have to really step up our game. Practice will be the nomal time, 4:00 on Thursday. Our next game is Saturday at 9:45. Please be at the field by 9:30.

Have a great weekend.

Joel
