What a game! If you didn't see it, you missed one of the most exciting games of the season. We were short-handed with only 7 players so I knew this was going to be a tough game. We only had one player to substitute so everyone had to play virtually every position on the field. Both teams were held scoreless through the first half and 20 minutes into the second half. Katie finally scored the game's only goal with just 5 minutes left in the game. We survived a last minute rally by the other team but ended up surviving with a 1-0 win. Victoria played a fantastic second half at goal keeper saving numerous shots on goal. Tarason, Alicia and Jackie played a solid game at midfield while Kayla and Madeline really came through in a clinch with some timely offense and defense. Everyone was completely exhausted after the game. We finish the first half of the season with a 3-0-1 record.
We have no game scheduled this Saturday so enjoy the time off. The following weekend is Easter so our next game won't be until April 30. Practice will be next Thrsday and every Thursday from here till the end of the season, from 4:00 to 5:30.
