You may have noticed that at the end of every practice, we have a team prayer. I've thankfully never had anyone complain about it, and i'm glad. I've always firmly believed that the first responsibility on any coach is to pray for his players. The impact of a coach can last a lifetime. There are some things that a child can hear from a coach that will not be heard if its spoken by a parent. It's a tremendous responsibility that I take seriously. As a coach, you can't hide your character. It will always show itself in how you interact with the team. I want you to know that I pray for your kids daily, and I ask that you do the same. And while you're at it, please pray for me and their teachers at school as well. Teaching and guiding kids requires a wisdom and strength that comes from another place.
God Bless.
