Academy Soccer

Here is the latest info on JAWS Academy soccer.

There will be 3 Academy teams. The teams will be aligned roughly by school. There will be two St. Mary's teams and one JCS team. Jenny Sena and Mark Schatz will be coaching the St. Mary's teams and I will be coaching the JCS Academy team. I will not be coaching a regular JAWS team this season. In addition to the three JAWS Academy teams, we will probably have one or two additional area U-10 club teams that we will be playing on a regular basis. Again, all of our games will be played on Saturdays at Northpark.

If you didn't get to try out and you want to play, I have made arrangements for you to get on the team. If you have already paid your entry fee for regular JAWS soccer, that check will be applied to your Academy fee. The Academy fees are as follows:

City Resident
Did not play in Fall '06 - $140

City Resident
Did play in Fall '06 - $128

Non City Resident
Did not play in Fall '06 - $166

Non City Resident
Did play in Fall '06 - $154

The fee includes the Shootout in the West tournament fee, uniforms, and trophies. I will let you know when and where to send the check at a later time.

At this time, I need to get your child's size so we can get the uniforms ordered. Please e-mail me this info as soon as you can. If you know of anyone else who is interested but did not get a chance to try out, please let me know or have them contact me as soon as possible. If you tried out for Academy but you cannot play, again, please let me know as soon as possible.

There will be 2 practices per week for Academy soccer. I have tentatively planned my practices for Thursday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. If a better time would work for you, please let me know. I'll try to accommodate everyone as best as I can. I'll have info on practice fields an exact times as soon as I get the fields reserved.
