Today's game was definitely different. We only played 5 on 5 since our opponents only had 5 players. The final score of today's game was 7-4. That doesn't tell the whole story though. Maya scored the first goal and we were off to the races. By half time we were up 5-1 and we had to pull a player because of the 4 goal rule. For those of you who don't know, if a team is up 4 goals, they have to pull a player from the field. So, going into the second half, we had to play 3 players plus a goal keeper against 4 plus a keeper. Surprisingly, we were still able to hold our own and score. Jackie had a great game on defense and took Defensive Player of the Game honors. Savannah won Offensive Player of the Game with an outstanding game. Kayla took the Hustle Award and Raegan played a solid game on both ends to take MVP. Thanks to Nancy Winsett for bringing snacks.
We'll have a much tougher game this Thursday. We'll have to be ready to play if we want to stay undefeated. Our game on Thursday will be on field 2A at 6:00. We will be wearing red. Jackie will be Team Captain. The Coxes are in charge of snacks.
