Game Day 10.21

They say that some days you're the windshield and some days you are the bug. Today, we were the bug. Our opponents certainly lived up to their billing. We kept it close during the first half. With the score 1-0, we were behind by just a single goal at halftime. We made some adjustments for the second half and gambled a bit to try to score a goal but we just didn't have the energy to keep up. We ended up conceding 4 goals in the second half. The final score was 5-0

This was by far the best team we've played this year. I was very proud of our girls though. We were short handed with Bethany and Savannah out so everyone had to do double-duty. By the end of the game we had left everything we had on the field. Raegan played an outstanding game at goalkeeper and took Defensive Player of the Game, Sara was the Offensive Player of the Game, Kayla won the Hustle Award and Jackie was the MVP.

We have 1 more game left in the season. We'll start getting ourselves prepared on Thursday. It's been a tough schedule with 6 games in the past 4 weeks and only 1 practice. It will be a nice change to get back to practice so we can work on our skills. I'll see you all on Thursday.
