Wow! What a game today. I was so pleased with how well the girls played. We've come a long wa since our first practice. On Thursday I was telling one of the girls that games are won or lost, not on game day, but on the practice field. Today, all that work payed off. We played very well on the offenesive end scoring 6 goals. We still need to work more on our defense. We allowed 4 goals today. Nevertheless, it was a very sold first game. We'll need to continue to improve if we plan to keep our winning ways.
Congratulations to Alicia for taking defensive player of the game honors, Savannah for offensive player of the game, Kayla for the hustle award and Jackie for most valuable player. Thanks again to Blake Taylor for taking the photos today and Bethany Davenport for bringing snacks.
Our next practice will be on Thursday at 4:30. We don't have a game scheduled for next weekend so enjoy the time off. Our next game is September 23.
